  • Proof of onward/return travel and, in some cases, proof of funds
  • Travel health insurance is strongly recommended, including medical evacuation cover, given the extremely limited healthcare infrastructure
  • No biometric enrolment is typically required at the embassy stage, though additional security screening is standard given the current security situation

  • Tourist visa: rarely issued independently at present due to the security situation; normally requires a sponsoring tour operator or NGO, single entry, short validity
  • Business visa: requires a formal invitation letter from a Yemen-based company or organisation, single or multiple entry depending on sponsor
  • Work/NGO visa: for humanitarian, media or employment purposes, requires sponsorship and often additional government or security clearance before issuance
