British citizens need an Ivorian e-Visa, applied for online before travel and typically approved within a few days.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months, with at least one blank page
  • Scanned passport bio page
  • Passport-style photo
  • Travel itinerary and accommodation details
  • A valid card for online payment
  • Printed copy of the e-visa approval to carry with your passport

Visa types

  • e-Visa (tourist) - single entry, valid for a stay of up to 90 days
  • e-Visa (business) - similar terms, may require an invitation letter from a host company

How to apply online

  • Apply via the official e-visa portal (snedai.ci)
  • Create an account and upload a passport bio-page scan, a passport-style photo, travel itinerary, and accommodation details
  • Pay the fee online by card
  • Approval is emailed as a PDF; print it and carry it with your passport
  • Present the approval and passport on arrival at Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, Abidjan

Fees & processing time

  • The e-visa fee is typically around USD 73 (approx EUR 68) for a single-entry tourist e-visa, inclusive of processing charges
  • Standard processing time is around 48-72 hours
  • Applying at least a week ahead is recommended during busy periods

  • Ensure your passport has at least 6 months' validity and one blank page
  • Keep both a digital and printed copy of the e-visa approval
