  • Financial proof: The online application does not publish a mandatory bank statement requirement. You should have funds to cover your stay and be prepared to show proof if requested by immigration or border officers.
  • Accommodation and return ticket: You should have confirmed accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter for business) and proof of onward or return flight.
  • Photo spec: Upload a passport-style digital photo meeting Gabon’s standard (typically 35x45 mm or 3.5x4.5 cm, JPEG/PNG, white background, no hats or heavy editing).
  • Biometrics: Yes. Biometric data is collected as part of the online application; if additional in-person biometrics are required, you will be directed by the issuing authority at a Gabonese mission.
  • Travel health insurance: Not mandatory for the e-visa, but it is recommended to have travel medical insurance for the duration of your trip.

  • Transit e-Visa (e-Visa Transit): Official name on the portal: Transit. If available via the portal, validity up to 30 days with a maximum stay of a few days (commonly 3–7 days); single-entry; approximate fee USD 40–60 (roughly XAF 28,000–42,000).
  • Note: As of current portal availability, UK applicants commonly access Tourist and Business categories online; Student and Work visas may require embassy processing or different routes.

How to apply online

  • How to apply online: Go to https://evisa.dgdi.ga/ and log in or create an account.
  • Steps: Select visa type (Tourist or Business) → enter personal details and travel information → upload required documents (passport data page scan, digital photo, hotel booking or invitation letter for business, return/onward flight, any Yellow Fever certificate if requested) → review and pay the visa fee plus any portal service fee → submit.
  • Approval and delivery: You will receive a confirmation with a reference number; the e-Visa decision is issued electronically and delivered by email or available for download from the portal. Print the e-Visa or carry a digital copy to present at border.
  • Fees during application: Fees are shown in USD with an optional portal service fee; payments are taken through the online portal (card payments supported).
  • Processing time: Typical processing is 3–5 working days; expedited processing (where offered) may take 24–48 hours at additional cost.

Tips for United Kingdom travelers
