Azerbaijan Visa for United Kingdom Citizens 2026

UK citizens can apply for Azerbaijan's online e-Visa (Tourist or Business) via https://evisa.gov.az/; standard processing is 3 working days with an express option, stays up to 30 days per entry, and fees are around USD 20 for Tourist and USD 25 for Business.

What you need

  • Passport validity: your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and have at least one blank page.
  • Specific forms: apply online at https://evisa.gov.az/; no DS-160 or similar embassy forms are required for UK citizens.
  • Financial proof: there is no explicit financial proof required for the e-Visa; ensure you have funds to cover your trip.
  • Accommodation and return ticket: accommodation details and a return/onward ticket are not mandatory to submit online, but keep them handy in case border control asks.
  • Photo spec: upload a recent color passport-style photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm) with a white background; digital photo should be JPEG, at least 600 x 600 pixels, not older than 6 months.
  • Biometrics: no separate biometrics appointment is required; you provide a photo and passport data as part of the online application.
  • Travel health insurance: not required by law for the e-Visa; having travel medical insurance is recommended.

Visa types

  • Tourist e-Visa: official name Tourist e-Visa; validity 90 days from date of issue; maximum stay 30 days per entry; single-entry; approximate fee USD 20; AZN around 34.
  • Business e-Visa: official name Business e-Visa; validity 90 days from date of issue; maximum stay 30 days per entry; single-entry; approximate fee USD 25; AZN around 42.
  • Other categories: Student e-Visa and Work e-Visa are not offered via the online e-Visa portal for UK citizens; if you need those, contact the Azerbaijani Embassy/Consulate.

Tips for United Kingdom travelers

  • VFS/BLS vs direct embassy application: apply online via evisa.gov.az; no VFS/BLS involvement for UK passport holders.
