Guide last updated September 17, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the stay
  • Digital passport photo
  • Confirmed return ticket
  • Hotel booking, or a UAE host's Emirates ID copy if staying with family
  • Proof of sufficient funds
  • Travel health insurance recommended (mandatory for some visa categories)
  • No in-person biometrics needed for the e-visa; fingerprints are captured on arrival mainly for residents

Visa types

  • 30-day single-entry tourist visa: about USD 90-120
  • 30-day multiple-entry tourist visa: about USD 170-200
  • 60-day single-entry visa: about USD 170-200, each extendable once inside the UAE for an additional fee
  • Visit visa sponsored by a UAE resident or company for family or business visits

How to apply online

  • Apply through a UAE-licensed travel agency, airline (such as Emirates or Etihad), hotel, or the official ICP/GDRFA smart services portal
  • Upload the passport and photo
  • Pay online
  • Receive the e-visa by email, typically within 3-5 business days
  • Print the approval to present at check-in and on arrival

Fees & processing time

  • 30-day single-entry visa: roughly USD 90-120; 30/60-day multiple-entry options: USD 170-220
  • A small agency or airline service fee is often added on top of the government fee
  • Standard processing: 3-5 business days; express processing (24-48 hours) available through many agents for an extra fee

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Apply through a licensed agent or airline rather than unverified websites to avoid delays or fraud
  • Common rejection reasons include an invalid or soon-expiring passport and insufficient return-ticket proof
  • Extensions of 30 days can be requested online via GDRFA/ICP before the current visa expires
  • Overstaying fines are strictly enforced (currently about AED 50 per day), so track the exact expiry date
