  • Recent digital passport-style photo (white background)
  • Scanned passport bio page

  • Multiple-entry eVISA: valid up to 3 months for multiple trips, each stay up to 30 days, higher fee (approximately RM 200+)
  • Business eVISA: similar stay limits to tourist, requires an invitation letter from a Malaysian company

How to apply online

  • Steps: register an account, fill in personal and travel details, upload passport and photo, pay fees online by card
  • Fee: approximately RM 20 (non-refundable processing fee, roughly USD 4-5) plus the visa fee of approximately RM 100-120 (roughly USD 20-25) for single entry
  • Processing time: typically 3-5 working days, occasionally longer during peak travel seasons
  • Approval is issued as a PDF eVISA emailed to the applicant - print it and present it with your passport at check-in and on arrival; immigration stamps the passport at the port of entry

Fees & processing time

  • Processing fee: approximately RM 20 (non-refundable, charged regardless of outcome)
  • Visa fee: approximately RM 100-120 for single entry (around USD 20-25)
  • Total estimated cost: approximately RM 120-140 (USD 25-30)
  • Standard processing: 3-5 working days
  • No official express lane; apply at least 1-2 weeks ahead of travel to avoid last-minute issues

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Apply online well before booking non-refundable flights, since approval is not guaranteed
  • Common rejection reasons: unclear photo, mismatched personal details between passport and form, insufficient financial proof, incomplete hotel booking
  • Keep a printed copy of the eVISA approval along with your passport - immigration officers in Malaysia check this on arrival
  • Malaysian immigration officers may ask about the purpose of visit and sufficiency of funds at the airport even with an approved eVISA
  • Extensions of stay can be requested at the Immigration Department in Malaysia before the visa expires, though approval is discretionary
