Solomon Islands Visa for Pakistan Citizens 2026

Visa Required

Guide last updated October 20, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the stay, with at least 2 blank pages
  • Completed Solomon Islands visa application form
  • Two passport-sized photos (white background)
  • Confirmed return/onward air ticket
  • Letter of invitation from a sponsor or host in the Solomon Islands, or a hotel booking
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay
  • No biometrics are collected in advance; a photo and fingerprints may be taken on arrival
  • Travel health insurance is strongly recommended, as medical facilities are limited

Visa types

  • Visitor Permit: single entry, allows a stay of up to 3 months, for tourism or family visits
  • Business Visa: for short business trips, similar validity, requires a letter from the host company
  • Student/Work Visa: long-stay categories requiring prior approval from the relevant Solomon Islands ministry

How to apply

  • Since Pakistan has no Solomon Islands embassy or consulate, applications are submitted by post, courier, or email directly to the Immigration Division in Honiara, or through a local sponsor who lodges the application on your behalf
  • Some applicants route papers through the Solomon Islands High Commission in Canberra, which informally covers South Asian applicants
  • The original passport is often required to be couriered so the visa can be affixed, then returned
  • Confirm current submission channels directly with the Immigration Division before applying, as the process can change

Fees & processing time

  • Visa fee: approximately SBD 500 (about USD 60) for a Visitor Permit, payable by bank transfer or on arrival
  • Courier costs for sending/returning the passport add roughly USD 50-100
  • Processing time: typically 2-4 weeks given the need to route documents internationally; allow longer during holidays
  • No express service is available

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Start the process at least 6-8 weeks before travel due to the lack of local representation
  • A clear invitation letter from a Solomon Islands-based sponsor or employer significantly speeds up approval
  • Keep copies of everything couriered, and confirm receipt with the Immigration Division
  • Carry printed proof of visa approval alongside your passport when traveling, in case of system discrepancies at the port of entry
  • Extensions of stay can be requested in person at the Immigration Division office in Honiara
