Nigeria Visa for Pakistan Citizens 2026

e-Visa / eTA

Pakistani citizens need Nigeria's e-Visa (visa pre-approval obtained online, visa stamped on arrival) — apply at portal.immigration.gov.ng; single-entry fee around USD 160, online pre-approval in 2-5 working days.

Guide last updated October 20, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry, with at least 2 blank pages
  • No separate paper form - the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) online application replaces it
  • Proof of funds (bank statement, last 3 months)
  • Hotel booking or invitation letter from a Nigerian host/company
  • Return or onward flight ticket
  • Passport-style digital photo, white background, uploaded during the online application
  • Biometrics (fingerprints and photo) are captured on arrival at the port of entry in Nigeria, not in Pakistan
  • Travel/health insurance is recommended; proof of yellow fever vaccination is required

Visa types

  • Nigeria Visa on Arrival (eVisa) - Tourist - single entry, max stay 90 days, fee approx USD 160
  • Nigeria Visa on Arrival (eVisa) - Business - single entry, max stay 90 days, fee approx USD 160
  • Multiple-entry business eVisa - valid up to 12 months, fee approx USD 200
  • STR (Short-Term Resident) and Subject-to-Regularization visas exist for longer work-related stays but require separate employer sponsorship

How to apply online

  • Create an account at portal.immigration.gov.ng and select the Visa on Arrival (eVisa) option
  • Fill in personal, travel and host/sponsor details, and upload passport bio page, photo, and supporting documents
  • Pay the application fee online by card (USD 160 for single-entry tourist/business)
  • Receive an electronic Pre-Approval Letter by email, typically within 2-5 working days
  • Print the Pre-Approval Letter and present it with your passport on arrival at a Nigerian international airport
  • Immigration officers at the port of entry issue the physical visa stamp and capture biometrics before admitting you

Fees & processing time

  • Single-entry tourist/business eVisa fee: approx USD 160 (paid online in USD or equivalent)
  • Multiple-entry business eVisa fee: approx USD 200
  • No separate VFS/BLS fee since the process is fully online through NIS
  • Total estimated cost: USD 160-200 plus any courier cost for printing/document prep
  • Standard online pre-approval processing time: 2-5 working days
  • No guaranteed express service; applying 2-3 weeks ahead is advised to absorb delays

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Apply online at least 2-3 weeks before travel since pre-approval can occasionally take longer than the stated 5 days
  • Common rejection reasons: unclear invitation letter, mismatched host details, missing yellow fever certificate
  • Double-check that your Nigerian host or hotel confirms details that match your application exactly
  • Monitor current entry advisories, as Nigeria periodically updates health and security requirements for travelers from South Asia
  • Extensions beyond 90 days must be requested at the Nigeria Immigration Service office in-country before the visa expires
