  • Digital passport-style photo for upload
  • Scanned copy of passport bio page
  • Confirmed hotel booking or invitation letter
  • Proof of sufficient funds
  • Round-trip or onward flight itinerary
  • Credit/debit card for online payment
  • No biometrics required for the e-visa application itself

Visa types

  • Tourist e-visa: single entry, valid for 70 days from date of entry, stay up to 28 days
  • Business e-visa: single entry, valid for 70 days, requires an invitation/recommendation letter from a Myanmar company
  • Note: e-visa entry is only permitted through specific international airports (Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyidaw) and select land borders

How to apply online

  • Visit the official portal at evisa.moip.gov.mm
  • Complete the application form, upload photo and passport scan
  • Pay the fee online by credit or debit card
  • Processing typically takes 3-5 working days; approval letter is emailed as a PDF
  • Print the approval letter and present it with your passport at immigration on arrival

Fees & processing time

  • Tourist e-visa fee: approximately USD 50
  • Business e-visa fee: approximately USD 70
  • No separate service fee since the application is filed directly with the government
  • Standard processing: 3-5 working days
  • Urgent/express processing is not officially offered; apply at least a week before travel

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Double-check your entry point is an approved e-visa port, since not all Myanmar border crossings accept e-visa holders
  • Common rejection reasons: blurry document uploads, mismatched name/passport number, insufficient trip details
  • Register your travel plans with local contacts since some regions of Myanmar require additional travel permits beyond the e-visa
  • Keep a printed copy of the approval letter — relying solely on a phone screenshot can cause delays at immigration
  • Extensions of stay are handled by the Myanmar Immigration Department and are not guaranteed
