Mali Visa for Pakistan Citizens 2026

Visa Required

Pakistani citizens need a sticker visa for Mali, generally obtained through the nearest Malian diplomatic mission (Mali has no embassy in Pakistan, so applications are usually made via a regional mission or on arrival with prior authorization); fee around USD 70-100, processing 3-5 working days.

Guide last updated September 16, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay, with 2+ blank pages
  • Completed Mali visa application form
  • Invitation letter or confirmed hotel booking in Mali
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay
  • Photo spec: 2 recent passport-style photos, white background
  • Biometrics: not typically required for the sticker visa; may be taken on arrival
  • Travel health insurance: recommended; yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry

Visa types

  • Tourist visa - single entry, valid up to 30 days, fee around USD 70
  • Business visa - single or multiple entry, requires an invitation letter from a Malian company, fee around USD 100
  • Transit visa - shorter validity for onward travel, lower fee
  • Long-stay visa - for work or study, requires additional documentation and sponsor approval from Malian authorities

How to apply

  • Since Mali has no diplomatic mission in Pakistan, apply through the nearest Malian embassy or consulate (commonly in New Delhi or another regional capital) or arrange authorization to obtain a visa on arrival at Bamako-Senou International Airport with prior clearance
  • Submit the application form, passport, photos, and supporting documents in person or via courier where accepted
  • Pay the visa fee in the currency accepted by that mission
  • Standard processing takes 3-5 working days once the mission accepts the application
  • Confirm requirements directly with the handling mission before travel, as processes can vary by location

Fees & processing time

  • Tourist visa fee: approximately USD 70
  • Business visa fee: approximately USD 100
  • No separate service fee if applying directly at a mission; courier or agent fees may apply
  • Standard processing time: 3-5 working days
  • Express processing is generally not available

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Start the process at least 4-6 weeks ahead, since the lack of a Malian mission in Pakistan adds delay
  • Common rejection reasons: missing yellow fever certificate, unclear invitation letter, insufficient funds
  • Confirm the current security situation and any travel advisories for Mali before finalising travel plans
  • Carry printed copies of all correspondence with the visa-issuing mission, as processes for Pakistani applicants can be inconsistent
  • Extensions inside Mali are handled by the Direction Générale de la Police Nationale in Bamako
