Cuba Visa for Pakistan Citizens 2026

Visa Required

Pakistani citizens need a Cuban tourist card or visa obtained in advance through a Cuban consulate or authorized agent, since Cuba does not offer visa on arrival to Pakistani passport holders; processing typically takes 5-10 working days.

Guide last updated October 19, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry
  • Completed Cuban visa/tourist card application form
  • One or two recent passport-size photos
  • Confirmed round-trip flight itinerary
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation or Cuban casa particular booking)
  • Travel health insurance valid in Cuba, as it is mandatory and may be checked on arrival
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay
  • Biometrics are not usually required for the tourist card, though the ordinary visa process may request fingerprints at the consulate

Visa types

  • Tourist Card (Tarjeta Turistica): for holiday visits, valid for a single stay of up to 30 days, extendable once for another 30 days inside Cuba
  • Business Visa: for commercial visits, requires an invitation letter from a Cuban entity
  • Ordinary Visa: for longer stays, study, or other non-tourist purposes, requires a specific invitation or authorization
  • Most Pakistani leisure travelers apply for the Tourist Card.

How to apply

  • Since Pakistan has no resident Cuban embassy, apply through the nearest Cuban consulate or an authorized tourist card agent/travel agency
  • Submit the application form, photo, passport copy, and proof of travel insurance
  • Pay the required fee by bank transfer or in person at the consulate
  • Processing is completed by mail or courier, with the tourist card or visa issued as a physical document to present at check-in and on arrival

Fees & processing time

  • Tourist card fee: approximately USD 20-35, depending on the issuing agent or consulate
  • Agent/courier service fee where applicable: an additional USD 20-40
  • Total estimated cost: USD 40-75
  • Standard processing time: 5 to 10 working days
  • Express service through some agents: 2-3 working days for an extra fee

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Apply at least 3-4 weeks before departure since documents must be routed to a regional consulate or agent
  • Make sure your travel insurance policy explicitly states Cuba coverage, as this is checked at Cuban airports and a missing policy can mean buying one on the spot at a higher cost
  • Keep both a digital and printed copy of the tourist card, since losing it can complicate your exit from Cuba
  • Many internationally issued credit and debit cards do not work in Cuba, so carry sufficient cash in euros or US dollars
  • To extend your stay, visit an immigration office (Inmigracion y Extranjeria) inside Cuba before the initial 30 days expire
