Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Apply at least 4-6 weeks before travel; appointment slots at VFS can book up quickly
  • Common rejection reasons: insufficient funds, weak ties to Pakistan, inconsistent travel history or documents
  • Apply to the correct Schengen country (Austria if it is the main destination or where you spend the most nights)
  • Keep clear, consistent documentation across employment, bank, and invitation letters
  • Extensions are rarely granted; plan the itinerary within the 90-day limit from the outset
