What you need

  • Passport validity: Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from date of entry and have at least one blank page.
  • Specific forms: No pre-arrival visa application is required. Upon arrival you will complete a landing card at the border.
  • Financial proof: You should have funds to cover your stay. Tonga border officers may request proof of funds at arrival. A commonly suggested amount for a 31-day stay is about TOP 1,000 (approx USD 420), but there is no published official minimum published on gov.to; carry bank statements or access to funds.
  • Accommodation and return ticket: Proof of onward or return ticket is recommended and you should have details of your planned accommodation in Tonga.
  • Photo spec: Two recent passport-sized photos (35 x 45 mm) with a white background.

How to apply
