What you need

  • Passport validity: your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your planned exit from the Schengen area, be issued within the last 10 years, and have at least two blank pages.
  • Visa application form: complete and sign the Schengen visa application form (English/Chinese/Spanish) and submit it with your documents.
  • Photographs: two recent passport photos 35x45 mm with a white background, neutral expression, taken within the last 6 months.
  • Travel health insurance: travel medical insurance covering at least 30,000 EUR for the entire trip and valid for all Schengen states.
  • Financial proof: recent bank statements for the last 3 months showing sufficient funds to cover the stay; if someone else sponsors you, include a sponsorship letter and the sponsor’s bank statements.
  • Accommodation and return ticket: proof of accommodation for the entire stay (hotel bookings or host invitation with address) and a round-trip flight reservation or itinerary.
  • Employment/education documents: employment letter or leave letter from employer; if a student, a letter of enrollment/acceptance from the institution.
  • Travel history: copies of previous visas or Schengen stamps if available.
  • Minors: parental consent if traveling with one parent or without both parents; provide birth certificate and any custody documents if applicable.
  • Biometrics: yes; you will submit biometrics at the visa application center or consulate.
  • Additional notes: translations of documents into Spanish or English may be required; ensure documents match the applicant’s name exactly as in the passport.

Visa types
