Application process

  • How to apply online (e-Visa/eTA): The Palestinian Authority currently does not offer a public online e-Visa portal for China applicants. If an online option exists, use the official MFA portal at https://www.mfa.gov.ps/ and follow the steps: 1) Create/ log in to your account 2) Complete the visa application form 3) Upload the required documents 4) Pay the visa fee online 5) Receive approval by email and print the e-approval to present on arrival. Note: Local PA missions may still require a paper application.
  • Visa on arrival: There are no standard visa on arrival facilities for China passport holders at Palestinian entry points. Some border crossings may require prior authorization through PA authorities. Always verify with the official MFA site.
  • Sticker visa: Apply via Palestinian missions/consulates (note: there is no PA embassy in China; applications are typically processed through PA missions in neighboring states or via consulates that cover your region). Steps: 1) Determine the nearest PA mission or embassy with consular coverage 2) Prepare documents listed above 3) Submit the application and pay the fee 4) Attend an interview if requested 5) Wait for processing (typically 7–14 working days) 6) Collect passport with visa stamp. Document checklist includes passport, photos, form, financial proof, hotel/invitation letter, travel itinerary, proof of funds, and return ticket. Payment is usually by bank transfer or in-person payment at the mission; some missions accept USD or local currency. Interview may be required.
  • Visa free: Entry conditions indicate there is no visa-free access for China passport holders to Palestine; a visa is required for entry. If any source claims visa-free access, verify via the official MFA site and the listed embassies/consulates; carry supporting documents to demonstrate purpose of visit, accommodation, and return arrangements; extensions depend on PA authorities.

Fees & processing time

  • Visa fees (approximate): Tourist USD 60; Business USD 70; Student USD 75; Work USD 90; Family Visit USD 50.
  • Local currency equivalents: Fees may be payable in USD or local currency at the issuing PA mission; check the exact method with the consulate.
  • VFS/BLS service fee: Not applicable for PA visa applications; handled directly by PA mission/consulate with local payment where applicable.
  • Total cost estimate: Expect USD 60–90 depending on visa type; additional courier or embassy service charges may apply if using an intermediary.
  • Standard processing time: 7–14 working days; in some cases up to 21 days.
  • Express/priority option: Not commonly offered; verify with the PA mission; expedited processing may be possible in exceptional cases but cannot be guaranteed.

Tips for China travelers

  • Apply well in advance: Start the visa process at least 4–6 weeks before travel to accommodate any interview or document verification.
  • Common rejection reasons for China applicants: Incomplete documents, insufficient funds, unclear travel purpose or itinerary, mismatch between application data and supporting documents, or lack of invitation letter for business/work visits.
  • PA mission path vs direct embassy application: There is no PA embassy in China; applications are typically processed through PA missions in neighboring states (e.g., Jordan, Egypt) or through consulates that cover your region. Check the official MFA site for current coverage and contact details.
  • Travel advisories or bilateral notes: The regional situation can change; monitor travel advisories from your government and the MFA Palestine site; ensure you have current border crossing information and entry requirements.
  • Extension options inside Palestine: Extensions may be possible with PA approval; apply before expiry at a PA mission/consulate; approval is not guaranteed.
