Kyrgyzstan Visa for China Citizens 2026

e-Visa / eTA

Chinese citizens need an electronic visa (e-visa) to Kyrgyzstan — apply online at https://www.evisa.e-gov.kg; visa fees start from USD 60 with standard processing 3-5 working days.

Guide last updated September 4, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport validity: your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Kyrgyzstan, and you must have at least one blank visa page.
  • Specific forms: no additional forms are required beyond the online e-visa application; there is no DS-160, VAF1A, or embassy-specific forms for the Kyrgyz online e-visa.
  • Financial proof: the e-visa application does not require bank statements; you should have sufficient funds to cover your stay, but there is no fixed minimum published by the authorities.
  • Accommodation and return ticket: provide confirmation of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter) and a return/onward ticket; you may be asked to show proof on arrival.
  • Photo spec: one recent color photograph (35x45 mm) with a white background; head centered; no heavy shadows; avoid glasses with tinted lenses; no hats unless for religious reasons.
  • Biometrics: no separate biometrics submission is required as part of the e-visa; biometric data, if requested, would be collected at the border or consular check.
  • Travel health insurance: not mandatory for e-visa issuance; recommended to have travel health insurance covering medical expenses during Kyrgyzstan stay.

Visa types

  • Tourist e-visa (Electronic visa for tourism): Official name on the portal: Electronic visa for tourism. Valid for 90 days from the date of issue. Maximum stay per entry: 30 days. Entry type: Single entry. Fee: 60 USD (approximately 6600 KGS).

Fees & processing time

  • Fees: Tourist e-visa 6600 KGS (about 60 USD). Business e-visa 6600 KGS (about 60 USD).
  • VFS/BLS service fee: Not applicable for e-visa; this is issued online directly through the official portal.
  • Total cost estimate: 60 USD (6600 KGS) for standard e-visa; plus optional express fee if available.
  • Standard processing time: 3-5 working days.
  • Express/priority option: 1-2 working days for an additional fee (commonly around 20 USD), if offered on the portal.

Tips for China travelers

  • How far in advance to apply: aim to apply at least 7-10 days before your planned travel date to account for processing and any delays.
  • Common rejection reasons for China applicants specifically: mismatches between passport data and application (name spelling, passport number), passport validity under 6 months from entry, photo not meeting size/background requirements, incomplete uploads, or incorrect visa category selection.
  • VFS/BLS vs direct embassy application: Kyrgyz e-visa is issued online via the official portal; there is no separate VFS/BLS submission for these e-visas.
  • Travel advisories or bilateral notes: check your government's travel advisory for Kyrgyzstan before travel and verify current entry requirements for Chinese passport holders.
  • Extension options inside Kyrgyzstan: extensions of stay are generally not issued on arrival under the e-visa regime; if longer stay is needed, apply for a new e-visa before expiry or plan to exit and re-enter under a new e-visa.
