What you need

  • Passport validity: must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your date of entry to El Salvador and have at least two blank visa pages.
  • Specific forms: complete the online e-Visa application on El Salvador's Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal (rree.gob.sv). No separate paper DS-160 or other country forms are required.
  • Financial proof: no explicit minimum is published; provide bank statements or other documents showing sufficient funds to cover the stay.
  • Accommodation and return ticket: hotel reservation or invitation letter from host, plus a return or onward flight ticket.

  • Work Visa (Visa de Trabajo): official name Visa de Trabajo; validity 1 year (extendable); maximum stay up to 1 year per visit (extension possible); multiple entries allowed; approximate fee USD 120.

How to apply online
