Visa types

  • Visto de Estudiante (Student visa): Official name: Visa de Estudiante; Validity: for the duration of the course (often up to 1 year, renewable); Multiple entries may be allowed; Approximate fee: shown on the e-visa portal (USD) with local currency equivalent.
  • Visto de Trabajo (Work visa): Official name: Visto de Trabajo; Validity: typically 1 year (renewable); Multiple entries may be allowed; Approximate fee: shown on the e-visa portal (USD) with local currency equivalent.

Application process

  • Step 4: Pay the visa fee via the portal; the page will show the fee in USD and the local Boliviano equivalent at payment time.

  • Step 6: Receive the e-visa: A PDF e-visa will be issued digitally (through the portal or via email); print a copy to carry and present at border control.
