What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the stay
  • Digital passport photo uploaded with the e-visa application
  • Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
  • Proof of accommodation, hotel booking or invitation letter
  • Proof of sufficient funds
  • Biometrics: not required for the e-visa; fingerprints may be scanned on arrival
  • Travel health insurance recommended

Visa types

  • Tourist e-visa: single entry, valid 90 days from issue, maximum stay 90 days, fee approx USD 25
  • Business e-visa: single entry, 90 days, fee approx USD 50, requires an invitation letter

How to apply online

  • Apply via the Suriname e-visa portal or through VFS Global's Suriname visa service
  • Steps: create an account, complete the form, upload a passport scan and photo, pay the fee by card
  • Fee: approx USD 25 for tourist, plus any card processing fee
  • Processing time: 3-5 business days, approval sent by email as a PDF to print and carry
  • Present the printed e-visa approval plus passport at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport on arrival
