Visa types

  • Visa-free tourist/business entry: up to 90 days (the standard tourist stamp for Germans)
  • Extension: an additional stay can be requested from Panama's Servicio Nacional de Migración
  • Long-stay/residency visas: for longer stays or relocation, categories such as the "Pensionado" and "Friendly Nations" visas exist, both requiring local application, typically with a Panamanian lawyer
