German citizens must obtain an e-Visa online before traveling to Guinea, applied for through Guinea's official e-visa portal.

What you need

  • Passport valid at least 6 months beyond your stay
  • Digital passport-style photo
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate (mandatory, checked on arrival)
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Return or onward ticket
  • Credit or debit card for online payment
  • Travel health insurance recommended
  • No in-person biometrics for the e-visa application itself, though fingerprints may be taken on arrival

  • e-Tourist visa: single entry, up to 30 days, approx US$80-100
  • e-Business visa: single or multiple entry, up to 30-90 days, approx US$100-150
  • An airport visa-on-arrival exception exists in limited cases, but applying online in advance is strongly recommended

How to apply online

  • Apply via Guinea's official e-visa portal or the Guinean embassy's affiliated online service
  • Upload a scanned passport page and a digital photo
  • Pay the fee online by card, in US dollars
  • Standard processing takes 3-7 business days
  • Approval is emailed as a PDF to print and present on arrival along with your physical passport
