What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned departure from Gabon
  • Completed online e-Visa application form
  • Digital passport-style photo (white background)
  • Scanned copy of your passport bio page
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking) or an invitation letter for business travel
  • Proof of yellow fever vaccination (required for entry)
  • No in-person biometrics for the e-Visa application itself, but fingerprints and a photo are taken on arrival

Visa types

  • Tourist e-Visa: single entry, valid for 90 days from issue, stay up to 30 days, fee around EUR 70
  • Business e-Visa: single entry, valid 90 days, stay up to 30 days, fee around EUR 90, requires a local company invitation letter
  • Multiple-entry e-Visa: available to frequent business travelers on request, higher fee
  • Transit visa: shorter validity for onward travel, lower fee

How to apply online

  • Apply through the official Gabonese e-Visa portal at evisa.dgdi.ga
  • Steps: register online, complete the application form, upload your photo and passport scan, pay the fee by card
  • Fee: approximately EUR 70 (tourist) to EUR 90 (business)
  • Processing time: 3-5 business days under normal conditions
  • Approval arrives by email as a PDF e-Visa, to be printed and shown with your passport on arrival at Libreville Léon Mba International Airport

Tips for Germany travelers

  • Extensions inside Gabon are handled by the Direction Générale de la Documentation et de l'Immigration (DGDI) in Libreville and should be requested before the e-Visa's granted stay expires
