  • Proof of onward or return ticket may be requested by the airline or immigration
  • Proof of accommodation and sufficient funds may be requested on arrival
  • Migracion Colombia entry stamp issued on arrival - no separate tourist card
  • Biometrics: fingerprints and photo taken at passport control on arrival
  • Travel health insurance: recommended, not mandatory

  • Longer stays, work or residence require a visa (e.g. M or R type) applied for at the Colombian consulate in Germany or via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs online portal

Tips for Germany travelers

  • Common issue: assuming re-entry resets the 90/180-day count - it does not; total visa-free days in a calendar year are capped at 180
  • No advance booking or portal needed for entry itself
  • No current bilateral travel advisories affecting German tourists
  • For work or residence, arrange the correct visa with the Colombian consulate in Germany (e.g. Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich) before traveling
