Vietnam Visa for Egypt Citizens 2026

e-Visa / eTA

Egyptian citizens can apply online for a Vietnam e-visa at evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn - single-entry costs USD 25 and multiple-entry USD 50, with approval typically in 3 business days.

Guide last updated October 19, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from your planned entry date
  • Digital passport-style photo (4x6 cm, white background) and a scan of your passport's data page, uploaded online
  • Confirmed round-trip flight ticket (helpful though not always checked during the e-visa review itself)
  • Proof of accommodation booking in Vietnam
  • Return/onward ticket may be requested on arrival
  • Travel health insurance is recommended but not mandatory
  • No biometrics are required for the e-visa; fingerprints are only taken for certain long-term visa categories

Visa types

  • Single-entry e-visa: valid up to 90 days, fee USD 25
  • Multiple-entry e-visa: valid up to 90 days with unlimited entries, fee USD 50
  • Visa on arrival (separate from the e-visa, pre-approval letter required): used mainly for group/agency-arranged air travel

How to apply online

  • Go to the official portal evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn and select 'e-Visa Issuance'
  • Fill in the application form with passport and personal details, and select your port of entry
  • Upload your passport scan and digital photo
  • Pay the e-visa fee online by credit/debit card in USD
  • Check application status using your registration code; approval normally arrives by email within 3 business days
  • Print the approved e-visa and present it together with your passport at immigration on arrival

Fees & processing time

  • Single-entry e-visa fee: USD 25; multiple-entry: USD 50, both paid online
  • No separate agency fee if applying directly through the government portal
  • Total estimated cost: USD 25-55 depending on entry type, plus a small online payment processing charge
  • Standard processing time: 3 business days
  • An expedited service is not officially offered through the government portal; some private agencies offer faster turnaround for an extra fee

Tips for Egypt travelers

  • Apply at least a week before travel, and double check the port of entry selected matches your actual arrival airport
  • Common rejection reasons: mismatched or expired passport details, poor-quality photo uploads, or incorrect entry port selection
  • Use only the official government portal; several look-alike third-party sites charge much higher fees for the same service
  • Keep both digital and printed copies of the approved e-visa, as airlines may ask to see it before boarding
  • The e-visa can be extended once inside Vietnam through a local immigration office or licensed travel agent, though a new visa run is sometimes simpler
