  • Completed visa application form
  • Two recent passport-size photos, white background
  • Confirmed round-trip flight itinerary
  • Hotel booking or invitation letter from a host in the Philippines
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months showing sufficient funds
  • Employment certificate or business registration document
  • NBI/police clearance not generally required for short tourist visits

Visa types

  • Temporary Visitor Visa (tourist): single entry, permits a stay of up to 59 days, extendable through the Bureau of Immigration in increments up to a cumulative 36 months
  • Business Visa: requires an invitation letter from a Philippine company
  • Balikbayan privilege does not apply to Egyptian citizens unless accompanying a qualifying Filipino relative

How to apply

  • Submit the application at the nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate handling Egyptian applicants, or through the designated honorary consulate if applicable
  • Provide the application form, photos, passport, flight itinerary, hotel booking and financial proof
  • Pay the visa fee at the consulate
  • Standard processing takes 3-5 business days for a complete, straightforward application
  • Approval is issued as a visa sticker or stamp in the passport, after which entry stays and extensions are managed by the Bureau of Immigration (immigration.gov.ph) inside the Philippines

Fees & processing time

  • Visa fee: approx. USD 30-60 depending on entry type and handling consulate
  • Extension fees inside the Philippines charged by the Bureau of Immigration per extension period, in addition to a head tax for stays beyond 59 days
  • Standard consular processing: 3-5 business days
  • No officially advertised express service, though some consulates offer faster processing for an additional fee

Tips for Egypt travelers

  • Confirm which consulate currently processes visas for Egyptian applicants, since coverage can shift between regional posts
  • Keep hotel and flight bookings consistent with the dates stated in the application
  • Plan extension visits to the Bureau of Immigration in the Philippines before the current authorized stay expires
  • Common rejection reasons: insufficient funds, unclear purpose of travel, or missing invitation letters for business trips
  • Carry both digital and printed copies of your visa approval and itinerary for airline check-in and immigration
