  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended departure, with at least 2 blank pages
  • Completed online visa application via the Namibian Ministry of Home Affairs portal (mha.gov.na)
  • Recent passport-style photo uploaded digitally
  • Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
  • Proof of accommodation booking
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay
  • Yellow fever certificate if arriving from or transiting a country with yellow fever risk
  • No biometrics required for the e-visa application itself

Visa types

  • Tourist e-Visa - single entry, valid up to 90 days, fee around USD 40 (NAD equivalent)
  • Business e-Visa - single entry, similar validity, requires an invitation letter from a Namibian company
  • Multiple-entry visa - available on request for frequent travelers, higher fee, processed by the ministry directly

  • Register on the Namibian e-visa portal linked from mha.gov.na
  • Complete the application form and upload passport copy, photo, and supporting documents
  • Pay the visa fee online by card
  • Processing typically takes 5-7 business days
  • Approval is emailed as a PDF to print and present on arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport or a land border

  • Combine Namibia with a regional itinerary since flight connections from Cairo are limited and usually transit through Johannesburg or Addis Ababa
