Kazakhstan Visa for Egypt Citizens 2026

e-Visa / eTA

Egyptian citizens must obtain a Kazakhstan e-visa online before travel; the tourist e-visa costs around $35-80 depending on entry type and is typically issued within 3-5 business days.

Guide last updated October 17, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay
  • Completed online e-visa application with a digital passport-style photo (JPEG, white background)
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter)
  • Return or onward flight ticket
  • Proof of sufficient funds (bank statement or equivalent)
  • Biometrics are not collected for the e-visa itself, but fingerprints may be taken at the airport border post
  • Travel health insurance is recommended though not strictly mandatory for short tourist stays

Visa types

  • Tourist e-visa (category C5): single entry, valid for 30 days from issue, stay up to 30 days
  • Business e-visa (category C3): single or double entry, valid up to 30 days
  • Transit e-visa: for travelers continuing to a third country, valid up to 5 days
  • Longer-term work, student, or multiple-entry visas require application through a Kazakhstan consulate rather than the e-visa portal

How to apply online

  • Apply at the official portal (evisa.gov.kz, linked from vmp.gov.kz) at least 5 business days before travel
  • Steps: create an account, fill in personal/travel details, upload passport scan and photo, pay the fee online, and wait for email approval
  • Fee: approximately $35 for tourist e-visa, $80 for business, payable by credit card in local currency equivalent (KZT)
  • Processing time: 3-5 business days standard; no expedited option
  • The approved e-visa is emailed as a PDF; print it and carry it with your passport for border control, who verify it electronically

Fees & processing time

  • Tourist e-visa: about $35 (roughly KZT 16,000)
  • Business e-visa: about $80
  • No separate service fee since applications go directly through the government portal
  • Standard processing: 3-5 business days; apply earlier during peak season (Nauryz holiday, summer) as delays are common
  • No expedited/rush processing is officially offered

Tips for Egypt travelers

  • Submit the e-visa application at least a week ahead since government holidays can slow approval
  • Double-check that your passport scan is fully legible; blurry uploads are a common rejection reason
  • Carry a printed copy of the approval plus your invitation/hotel booking, since border officers sometimes ask for supporting documents
  • Multiple-entry or longer stays require a regular visa from the Kazakhstan embassy network (nearest is typically in a neighboring Gulf or European capital) rather than the e-visa system
  • Check gov.kz for any updated reciprocal travel notices between Egypt and Kazakhstan
