Ivory Coast Visa for Egypt Citizens 2026

e-Visa / eTA

Egyptian citizens must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization for Cote d'Ivoire before traveling, applied for online in advance.

Guide last updated October 17, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry
  • Completed online ETA application with passport scan and digital photo upload
  • Confirmed return/onward flight ticket
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or host address)
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate, mandatory for entry
  • No biometrics required for the ETA itself
  • Travel insurance recommended

Visa types

  • ETA (short-stay, tourist/business): generally a single entry, valid for a stay of up to 90 days
  • Long-stay or work visas require a separate application through the Ivorian embassy/consulate rather than the ETA system

How to apply online

  • Apply at the official ETA portal linked via snedai.ci, entering passport and trip details and uploading the required documents
  • Pay the ETA fee online by card
  • Receive the ETA approval by email, to be printed and presented alongside the passport on arrival
  • Immigration at Abidjan's Felix-Houphouet-Boigny Airport verifies the ETA and stamps the passport

Fees & processing time

  • ETA fee: approximately USD 70-73, paid online
  • No additional service-center fee since the process is entirely electronic
  • Processing time: typically 48-72 hours; apply at least a week before travel
  • No formal expedited tier beyond standard online processing

Tips for Egypt travelers

  • Arrange the mandatory yellow fever vaccination at least 10 days before travel, as certificates are checked on arrival
  • Apply for the ETA well ahead of travel in case additional documentation is requested
  • Keep both digital and printed copies of the ETA approval and yellow fever certificate
  • Business travelers should carry a formal invitation letter from their Ivorian host
  • Register with the Egyptian embassy in Abidjan for extended stays
